With her black and white images GRACIELA ITURBIDE brings us the shadows of human existence: Tradition, beliefs, culture and death are common themes for the artist. Born in Mexico 1942 this icon of contemporary Latin American photography is honoured with her first retrospective in Germany. More information​​​​​​​

The FFF Academy talks, lectures and workshops convey current approaches and questions of photography. In 2019 a versatile programme will start with internationally renowned photographers and experts, including Thekla Ehling (DE) with a long-term workshop, Uwe Behrendt (DE), Alexandra Capodacqua (IT), Göran Gnaudschun (DE), Nils Häußler (DE), Lilly Lulay (DE), Linn Pedersen (NO),​​​​​​​ Hans-Christian Schink (DE) and Hanne van der Woude (NL).

Mika Sperling, Karla Hiraldo Voleau and Tobias Kruse are the new winners of the recommended fellowship, which was founded by Olympus together with Fotografie Forum Frankfurt, Foam Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam and Haus der Photographie/Deichtorhallen Hamburg in 2017. Mika Sperling will be coached for her artistic project by FFF curator Celina Lunsford for one year. Like the other new fellows she will furthermore receive financial support. MORE INFORMATION​​​​​​​
