With ETHEREAL. PHOTOGRAPHIC ART FROM NORWAY the Fotografie Forum Frankfurt presents exceptional works about the subtleties of light from A K DolvenDag Alveng and Linn Pedersen. Through photography, video and installation, the three artists dedicate themselves to the extreme qualities of Norwegian light that shape the country’s mystic nature and their own desires. Read more

The FFF Academy talks, lectures and workshops convey current approaches and questions of photography. In 2019 a versatile programme will start with internationally renowned photographers and experts, including Thekla Ehling (DE) with a long-term workshop, Terje Abusdal (NO)​​​​​​​, Uwe Behrendt (DE), Alexandra Capodacqua (IT), Göran Gnaudschun (DE), Nils Häußler (DE), Lilly Lulay (DE), Linn Pedersen (NO),​​​​​​​ Hans-Christian Schink (DE) and Hanne van der Woude (NL).

FFF ACADEMY ON THE ROAD

From now on the new format “FFF Academy on the road” offers day trips to places and peoples who have interesting things to offer in the field of photography. The trips are planned as round trips (from/to Frankfurt) to photography exhibitions or institutions in the region with an individual schedule and the possibility to meet experts.


On Monday, November 18, 2019, 12 am to 8 pm, a day trip to Marburg to the Deutschen Dokumentationszentrum für Kunstgeschichte – Bildarchiv Foto Marburg (DDK) will take place. The photo archive has one of the world's most important collections of photographs on the history of European art. REGISTER NOW

WORKSHOP

“PORTRÄTSTUDIO MIT COLLODIUM-WET-PLATE-TECHNIK”

They look like from the beginnings of photography: pictures in the historical collodion wet-plate technique are created in a four-hour workshop with Uwe Behrendt. Mika Sperling, Karla Hiraldo Voleau and Tobias Kruse are the new winners of the recommended fellowship, which was founded by Olympus together with Fotografie Forum Frankfurt, Foam Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam and Haus der Photographie/Deichtorhallen Hamburg in 2017. Mika Sperling will be coached for her artistic project by FFF curator Celina Lunsford for one year.
