Since the beginning of his career Hans-Christian Schink has always worked in analogue photography and most of the time with large-format cameras. Schink’s method of working is influenced primarily through his relationship to reality and his use of the classical opportunities which the medium photography offer him. In his lecture he talks about the genesis of his photographic projects, their interplay and the change of sight through the working process. More information

FFF ACADEMY ON THE ROAD

From now on the new format “FFF Academy on the road” offers day trips to places and peoples who have interesting things to offer in the field of photography. The trips are planned as round trips (from/to Frankfurt) to photography exhibitions or institutions in the region with an individual schedule and the possibility to meet experts.


On Saturday, 14 September 2019, 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., a visit to the new Ernst Leitz Museum in Wetzlar is on the agenda. Curator Hans-Michael Koetzle leads the group through the exhibition “Dr. Paul Woff & Tritschler. Light and Shadow - Photographs 1920 to 1950”. REGISTER NOW


On Monday, November 18, 2019, 12 am to 8 pm, a day trip to Marburg to the Deutschen Dokumentationszentrum für Kunstgeschichte – Bildarchiv Foto Marburg (DDK) will take place. The photo archive has one of the world's most important collections of photographs on the history of European art. REGISTER NOW

The FFF Academy talks, lectures and workshops convey current approaches and questions of photography. In 2019 a versatile programme will start with internationally renowned photographers and experts, including Thekla Ehling (DE) with a long-term workshop, Uwe Behrendt (DE), Alexandra Capodacqua (IT), Göran Gnaudschun (DE), Nils Häußler (DE), Lilly Lulay (DE), Linn Pedersen (NO),​​​​​​​ Hans-Christian Schink (DE) and Hanne van der Woude (NL).

Mika Sperling, Karla Hiraldo Voleau and Tobias Kruse are the new winners of the recommended fellowship, which was founded by Olympus together with Fotografie Forum Frankfurt, Foam Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam and Haus der Photographie/Deichtorhallen Hamburg in 2017. Mika Sperling will be coached for her artistic project by FFF curator Celina Lunsford for one year. Like the other new fellows she will furthermore receive financial support. MORE INFORMATION​​​​​​​
