In today’s digital landscape, having a presence on social media has become an important part of building a career for many artists, photographers and creatives. Back by popular demand, Robert Schittko is offering another social media workshop at FFF.

In this workshop, artist Robert Schittko explores social media from the perspective of intentional and sustainable communication. How can you present your work in a way that feels coherent and authentic—both to the outside world and to yourself? And how can you develop an artistic position that goes beyond short-term visibility and remains relevant in the long run?

The workshop focuses on how artistic work can gain visibility without simply adapting to algorithms, trends or the logic of individual platforms. Rather than offering a technical introduction to specific social media platforms, the workshop provides space for a broader discussion of artistic positioning, visibility and a conscious approach to digital spaces.

What do I want to show? What do I stand for? Who do I want to reach? These questions form the starting point for reflection and discussion. Together, we will develop concrete, individual strategies and next steps for communicating and positioning your work.

Robert Schittko is a recipient of a residency by the Hessische Kulturstiftung in Istanbul and a winner of the Deutsche Börse Photography Prize. As a freelance photographer, he works with museums, galleries, theatres and other cultural institutions.

He successfully manages the Instagram presence of the exhibition space MARS in Frankfurt and supports numerous renowned clients with photography for social media, including the Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin, the Hessisches Landesmuseum Darmstadt, the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation and Schauspiel Frankfurt.

Schittko is a co-founder of MARS and a multidisciplinary artist whose work focuses on ceramics and photography. His works often combine different materials and techniques to create a distinctive artistic expression. He approaches art mediation from several perspectives: as an artist presenting his own work, as a photographer working with cultural institutions, and as a co-organiser of an independent exhibition space.

Schittko studied at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach, where he completed his degree. Alongside numerous exhibitions, he shares his knowledge through workshops and projects, making art and creative processes more accessible.
