The FFF Masterclass 2023 with photographer Katharina Bosse is about the effect and creation of photographic portraits. The work will focus on narrative, social and political aspects. And in addition the question: What does it take to create and realize a portrait concept?

In image discussions, theory and practical exercises, the participants deal with design decisions such as image composition, color scheme and background. Lighting is of particular importance: whether glamour, cinematic portraits or tableaux - all of these styles thrive on the use of special light sources. Participants are invited to bring their cameras as well as hand-held flashes or similar equipment so that they can try out and practice their own light settings on location.

Masterclass leader Katharina Bosse accompanies the work of the participants, gives practical tips and responds to individual wishes. The FFF Masterclass comprises four dates and extends over a longer period of time so that participants have sufficient opportunity to realize their own photographic project. The joint workshop work begins with a discussion of the portfolio portraits that participants have brought with them.
