Valued photo artists and treasured practical know-how

Programme of the FFF Academy 2022

In more than 20 workshops, lectures and other events the programme of the FFF ACADEMY 2022 again conveys current positions and issues in photography. The workshops, most of which last two days, focus on dialogue and practice. The teachers discuss the participants' work on the basis of the respective topic and develop ideas and concepts for photographic projects together with them.

Love, family, emotion – existential subjects of being human are the common thread in the work of the Israeli-American photographer Elinor Carucci. “Her series Closer” (2002), “Diary of a Dancer” (2005), both exhibited at the Fotografie Forum Frankfurt) or “Mother” (2013) and “Midlife” (2020) are considered icons of contemporary artistic photography. Elinor Carucci will deal with intimacy in our everyday lives and as a motif in a photographic project in her three-day Masterclass FINDING INTIMACY on March 25/26/27, 2022, 12–6 pm. Form, light and colour characterise the work of Jessica Backhaus – and make the German-American photographer "hipper than ever", according to the January cover story of the German "art" magazine. The fine interplay between realistic photography and abstraction is also the focus of Backhaus' workshop ÜBER VISUELLE POESIE, FARBE UND INTUITION in September. More information and registration
